How to market a game
I'm convinced marketing a game is harder than making one. How do you get people to notice your game. How do you get people to give it a chance? And if you can't Validate if people like it, is it worth making it. I had playtesters try out may game and overall the results were positive. But will people just think it's another pokemon clone when it releases? Will they skip past it in the sea of indie games.
I changed my twitter profile pic to sluggity. He's just a loveable air head without a care in the world. No marketing worries just a big ol smile on his face. I kind of want to be like that.
I post on twitter rarely because it feels like im starting from square - 100. I am... but I wish it felt a little less like that. I know you can't build rome in a day, but I'm worried I wont finish in a decade. What if I can't build any traction?
What happens when I acutally make a steam page? What happens when I finally release the game? I think I would be okay knowing atleast one person got to see this goofy smile.
